HAPPY WEEKEND my loves! What are you guys doing for the weekend? Watch a movie, dining out with your besties, shopping? Or.. of course reading my blog! XOXO
Miami is definitely one of the best places to getaway in wintertime, lol some other ones here. Here I am gonna introduce the MUST-DO things in Miami. Enjoy!
Of course, as much as we love fashion, I am sue the first thing you wanna know is where to SHOP!? Yep, the anwser is downtown definitely! It’s got all the other fancy stores you could ever imagine: Macy’s, Marshalls, Metromall, The Shops at Mary Brickell Village.
Sounds like you could spend the whole day there right?=)
Oh and by the way, if you are around the Metro Mover (air train), it would be a really fun experience to ride it too!<3
WILDLIFE - ALLIGATOR
The most wonderful experience I had in Miami was to visit the wildlife- Alligators! OMG it was literally the first time ever that I was as close to a wild, alive alligator! I was literally one step away from them and it was the best experience ever, amazing!
The touring was in the local Indian Village; and I actually got a chance to feed the alligators some bread. My hands were shaking when I did that because I was so afraid that it would climb up to our boat and bite us! lol but it didn’t happen!
Also learnt some fun facts about alligators:
1) Alligators can live from 100-200 years
2) A alligator has about 80 teeth in his mouth
3) If they are hungry, they eat birds, turtles, they eat humans, if they are desperate enough, sometimes they eat each other.
4) Mother alligators usually lay about 20 to 50 eggs in a nest made of mud in summertime
5) Alligators lose most of their teeth when they fight each other, or trying to bite turtles. =p
NBA - MIAMI HEAT
If you ever catch a chance and a basketball fan, great opportunity to head for a Miami Heat Game! Woot <3
SEVEN MILES BRIDGE
One of the must-dos is driving through the Florida Keys and driving through the Seven Miles Bridge. The ocean is absolutely a stunning view. The Seven Miles Bridge is also a famous and popular location used for numerous movies, such as Fast & Furious. Rihanna’s music video “Ride” was also taken place here!<3
Most of the famous must-stops are in Key West! First thing you should do!? Chilling at the beach=p
It would be a pity if you didn’t stop by the famous Southernmost point pole and take a photo. Closest point ever to Cuba, and only 90 miles away!
If you are on your way driving to Key West, you will find this name consistently shows up and is almost everywhere: HEMINGWAY, yes! The great writer’s hometown. You can stop by the restaurant that Hemingway goes all the time when he was alive – Sloppy Joe’s Bar, and the restaurants is full of his photos/stories. Interesting right? Also you can walk around the downtown of Key West – The Duval Street and see if there’s anything you wanna buy.
Another shopping and dining place spotted! –The Bayside Market! So much fun and stunning view =)
Little Havana is also a place that you should visit when in Miami, and most importantly, have some Cuban food! We went to Versailles as it was rated the highest! Very tasty but there’s almost always a line up. My favourite was the beef tongue!
