One thing that I love about a monochrome outfit is that it never goes out of style and is always classic indeed. If you are short on outfit ideas, it is time to remember the power of a monochrome look!
This coat I got from Ellery 2016 fall/winter’s got to be one of my favourite! It is super cute and chic, very fitted on the waist and flared at the bottom. I was thinking about the ways to wear this when I bought it.
Putting a monochrome outfit together is more than just throwing any black or white clothes together. There has to be a balance, and every individual piece of clothing is important.
This flared jacket I got from Ellery is a little challenging when it comes to stylize it. Because the waist line is very high up and it is also flared, pairing it up a straight line trouser is really weird and will ruin the look. I’ve experienced a couple different looks at home. If you ever have jacekts similar to what I am wearing, go bare leg, or stylize it with tight leggings, or trousers with flared bottoms would also work!
Couple of simple monochrome rules to keep in mind:
- It’s important to style monochrome top-to-toe
- Keep your blacks bold and keep your whites bright ♥
