I guess no matter how old girls grow, we just cannot get enough of the fairly tales. I am so excited to share with you guys the real life Cinderella princess, Lily James in her most beautiful wedding gowns!
Costume designer Sandy Powell shared with press that she’d put so much hard work into making this dress; Sandy said, “creating this dress was a challenge. Rather than try to make something even better than the ball gown, I had to do something completely different and simple.” The final dress was made by 15 people, which it took them 550 hours, over a month, to complete the dress.
Personally, I’ve always been a big fan of fancy and princess-like dresses, and if you are too, check out some of my favorites through SherryLondon. http://www.sherrylondon.co.uk/ I got some amazing, lovely dresses from this site and I hope you do too=)!
Designer Sandy’s also explained that Cinderella wins the Prince’s heart through her goodness, so Sandy Powell wanted to show this through the wedding dress design; she wanted to keep it pure, simple, and classic even though Cinderella is going to be in a royal family. We totally can see there’s simplicity in designing the dress, and the floral dress detail and the headband added more richness which highlight the whole wedding dress look! Here’s another photo of the gorgeous princess Lily James and her prince charming Richard Madden in their official wedding portrait! Aww, isn’t this scene so magical?!Like a fairy tale coming true<3<3

Here’s a sketch of Cinderella’s dancing party dress; Powell was influenced by the size of the ball gown in which Cinderella makes her dramatic entrance to the palace ball.
Another highlight of the whole movie, and of course, is the most well-known glass slipper, and one of the biggest challenge of all was to bring it into alive. Instead of using glass, Powell designed a five-inch heel made out of Swarovski crystal. She shared, “The most important thing was the shoes had to sparkle, which meant it had to be made out of crystal because glass does not sparkle.”She created in total, eight pairs of shoes, and Lily James wore none of them due to the fact that these crystal shoes all have no movements. It was only for the visual effects and all about bring magic to life!=) For all the press and events, the actress has been wearing the famous designer collaborated shoes such as Jimmy Choo, Paul Andrew, Alexandre Birman, René Caovilla, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jerome Rousseau, Stuart Weitzman, Nicholas Kirkwood, and Charlotte Olympia.
