Rainy and cold winter is not exactly everyone’s favorite, well at least not mine. But one thing that’s great about Raincouver is to be able to dress all cozy and stylish, to be able to do lots of layering!
I am the type of girl who can not take coldness so it is mandatory that I keep myself all bundled up, yet still stylish =p
In winter time I am almost feeling like taking Puffie (for those of you who don’t know, Puffie is my 2 years old dog) with me all of time because he’s always so warm and fluffy. Since that would be hard I became a big fan of fur coat, to be exact Faux-fur coat just to be environmentally friendly. =)
The furry jacket I am wearing was bought two years ago from a brand called Sunday Best; it is also available at Aritzia. I am just so in love with the neck details as it creates that cool chic feeling. I was actually having trouble when I was mix & matching this outwear with a top. I tried to wear a loose sweater inside and ended up looking very chubby and I could barely move at all.
After a couple of tries I figured out the tip/key of wearing a furry coat: is to go with clothes that are light in materials, tight, or very close-fitting such as:
1) A V-neck white shirt that’s light in material ( what I am wearing in this article)
2) A tight turtleneck shirt
3) A close-fitting sweater
For bottoms, I just picked a pair of distressed jeans from One Teaspoon to look chic and effortless. You can really wear anything like black leggings and leather pants to pull off this look. <3
I was so happy that I got this pair of snake skin (faux) booties from Aldo when it was half price off!! Woot and it was exactly the size I wanted. I tend to shop a little bit more right after Xmas/New Year because I know the sale would normally go on for another half a month to a month. It is so comfortable to walk in and highlights the whole look<3
